ANIMALS AT LARGE

6.12.010 Restraint required.
The owner of every animal shall keep such animal confined on his own premises, or under restraint. The owner shall be responsible for any damage to any person or property occasioned by any animal at large. (Ord. 2006-03 (part), 2006: Ord. 15 §4, 1967).
6.12.020 Animals at large--Impoundment or destruction authorized.
Any animal found at large may be impounded and returned to the owner, if known. In their absolute discretion, peace officers are authorized to destroy any animal at large which, in the sole judgment of the officer, is deemed vicious, or deemed to be endangering or annoying persons, property or school children. 6.12.030 Regulations authorized.
The borough manager is authorized to establish regulations, subject to the approval of the assembly, controlling the impoundment, keeping, release and destruction of animals captured at large. (Ord. 2006-03 (part), 2006: Ord. 15 §5(b), 1967).
