2.04.010 Function.

It shall be the function of the City Council to exercise all of the legislative powers and policy-making powers of the City and to provide for the performance of all duties and obligations imposed upon the City by law. As elected representatives of the people of the community, Councilmembers shall give top priority to matters which promote the general welfare of the community as a whole. (Ord. 74-A-2 § 2.1, 1975)
