2.04.130 Recall.

A. An elected official may not be recalled by the voters until he has served 120 days in the office to which elected.

B. Grounds for recall shall be misconduct in office, incompetence or failure to perform prescribed duties. “Failure” could be construed by the voters as lack of interest in Council duties because of too frequent absences from the meetings. More than a total of four unexcused absences from regular meetings within a year will constitute, at the option of the voters, grounds for recall.

C. The manner of recall shall be in accordance with AS 29.26.240 through 29.26.350. (Ord. 74-A-1 § 1.8, 1975; Ord. 97-06, 1997)
