2.28.030 Purpose.

The importance of parks and open space in community and regional comprehensive plans is well known to the citizens of Houston. It is the desire of the people to maintain a beautification plan and a recreational plan that will make an increasingly great contribution to improve the quality of environment of all Alaskans, the preservation of our natural heritage close to home where we can enjoy it on a daily basis, and to provide the public with recreational and aesthetic benefits of open space in a clean and sanitary surrounding, where activity programs may be developed in keeping with the surroundings.
