2.36.020 Officers and members.

The Fire Department shall consist of a Fire Chief and Deputy Chief. The Fire Chief has the authority to appoint any officers that he deems necessary. This Fire Department shall be compatible with all other volunteer fire departments in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. All officers and members shall be volunteers, and shall serve without pay until such time as the City Council finds it necessary and fiscally responsible to appropriate funds for payment.
