13.10.010 Fireworks prohibited.
(a) No person shall possess dangerous fireworks or salable fireworks within the city limits of the city. All such fireworks shall be confiscated and possession shall be punishable as a misdemeanor offense.
(b) No person shall sell or offer for sale within the city any dangerous fireworks, and no person shall set or offer for sale within the city any salable fireworks without first obtaining a permit to do so from the Nome fire chief.
(c) No person shall explode or cause to be exploded within the city any dangerous fireworks and no person shall explode or cause to be exploded within the city any salable fireworks without first obtaining a permit to do so from the Nome fire chief.
(d) “Dangerous fireworks” and “salable fireworks” as used in this chapter are defined as they are defined in Alaska Statutes or as otherwise defined in the Fire Safety Code of the State adopted and administered by the Division of Fire Prevention of the Department of Public Safety.
