2.36.010 Department established.

There is established, in accordance with Title 29, the public works department. Executive and administrative duties are vested in the public works director. (Prior code § 2.48.005)

2.36.020 Appointment.

The public works director shall be appointed by the mayor and serve at the pleasure of the mayor. (Ord. 01-02 § 5, 2001: prior code § 2.48.010)

2.36.030 Duties.

A.    The duties of the public works department shall include supervision and responsibility of:

1.    The city water utility;

2.    The city sewer utility;

3.    Road maintenance;

4.    Utility permits;

5.    Driveway permits;

6.    Street numbering;

7.    Maintenance, custodial services, repair, minor construction renovation and upkeep of all rolling stock and buildings; and

8.    Other duties as assigned by the mayor. (Prior code § 2.48.020)
