AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMISSION

2.68.010 Establishment, purpose, duties and compensation.

A.    The airport advisory commission consisting of five members is established. Notwithstanding Section 2.44.040(A), members of the commission need not be city residents.

B.    The commission shall provide advice and recommendations to the city on matters pertaining to the airport, including, without limitation, the following:

1.    Advise the city on airport operations and maintenance;

2.    Recommend site locations and general development plans for airport lease lots to the planning commission, and advise the planning commission on related matters; and

3.    Recommend to the administration and council general and specific proposals for the development of the airport.

C.    The compensation of each commission member shall be seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per meeting attended. (Ord. 08-18 § 4, 2008; Ord. 04-53 § 2 (part), 2004)

2.68.020 Secretary.

A.    The public works director or designee shall act as the secretary to the commission. (Ord. 04-53 § 2 (part), 2004)

2.68.030 Meetings.

The commission shall hold at least one regular meeting each month; provided, that the commission may determine to hold less frequent regular meetings when sufficient to transact its business. Special meetings may be called by the chairperson or at the request of two commission members. Only those matters stated in the public notice may be acted upon at a special meeting.
