8.08.010 Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to prevent injury to persons, animals or vehicles. [Prior code § 9.18.010.]
8.08.020 Marking of obstructions.
Any person or persons who own or possess property shall post reflective devices on fences, guy wires, tree supports, chains or other possible obstructions. These obstructions must be marked in a manner that is visible during inclement weather and darkness. Each obstruction must have a sufficient number of reflective devices to assure visibility from at least twenty-five (25) feet. [Modification 1 of Ord. 121, 1980; prior code § 9.18.020.]
8.08.030 Marking of vehicles.
No person shall operate any snowmobile, bicycle, scooter or any other vehicle unless it is marked with a reflective device on the front and rear of the vehicle. The vehicle must be marked with a reflective device that is visible during inclement weather and darkness. [Prior code § 9.18.030.]
8.08.040 Violation – Penalty.
Any person or persons violating the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not to exceed twenty-five dollars ($25) or be sentenced to serve a term not to exceed five (5) days in the city jail, or both so fined and imprisoned.
