a. The vote tabulating equipment and accessible voting devices shall remain locked and sealed against further voting from the closing of the polls until fifteen days after the City Council has canvassed the returns, or until any threat of a contest of the result of the election is removed. The vote tabulating equipment and accessible voting devices may be opened, and all data and figures contained in them may be examined, upon order of the Court.

b. The provisions of subsection (a) shall not apply to accessible voting devices that are capable of printing, embossing, or photographing the count of votes as shown on the candidate and proposition counters. (Ord. No. G-5390, § 1, 2009)
