2.125.010 Establishment.

There is hereby established a board of adjustment for the town of Sahuarita to consist of seven members, each of whom shall be a resident of the town. [Ord. 2006-06 § 11; Ord. 2005-03 § 2; Ord. 1997-15; prior code § 3-6-1. Formerly 2.115.010.]

2.125.020 Appointment – Vacancies – Term.

Appointments to the board of adjustment, and the filling of vacancies on the board of adjustment, shall be as provided in Chapter 2.115 STC. [Ord. 2006-06 § 11; Ord. 2005-03 § 3; Ord. 1997-15; prior code § 3-6-2. Formerly 2.115.020.]

2.125.030 Officers, public meetings and minutes.

A. The board of adjustment shall immediately upon formation and every two years thereafter elect a chair person with the power to administer oaths and take evidence.

B. The meetings of the board of adjustment shall be subject to the public meeting laws and minutes shall be taken showing the vote of each member and records of its examinations and other official actions, and shall be filed in the office of the board as a public record. 2.125.040 Duties of board of adjustment.

The board of adjustment shall hear and decide appeals for variances and interpretations of STC Title 18, to issue temporary use permits in accordance with this code and state law, and conduct other duties as set forth in this code. [Ord. 2006-06 §§ 9, 11.]

2.125.050 Compensation.

The members of the board of adjustment shall serve without compensation; however, members may be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in conjunction with their duties, upon authorization or ratification by the board and approval of such expenditures by the town council.
