2.09.010 Consolidation of offices.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 24304, the office of recorder of the county is consolidated with the office of the assessor of the county, and the assessor shall perform all functions of the recorder. (Ord. 701 § 2 (part), 2012)

2.09.020 Vault.

A. The county assessor/recorder, and the county treasurer/tax collector/auditor/controller, shall maintain control over the vault, which stores records of the auditor, recorder, treasurer/tax collector, assessor and county clerk, ensuring that:

1. Persons mentioned in subsection A of this section and their deputies are authorized persons and shall have access to the vault during business hours.

2. Unauthorized persons are not allowed into the vault unsupervised.

3. No new records are allowed into the vault for storage unless they are covered by an approved retention schedule.

4. Records stored in the vault should be properly boxed or shelved and listed on each department’s vault storage records list. (Ord. 701 § 2 (part), 2012)
