2.04.010 Purpose.

This chapter is enacted pursuant to Section 36516 of the Government Code, authorizing the council to provide by ordinance that each member of the council shall receive a prescribed salary the amount of which is based on the population of the city as determined by estimates made by the State Department of Finance. (Ord. 284 §1, 1986)

2.04.020 Statement of population estimate.

As of the date of passage of the ordinance codified in this chapter, the latest estimate of population of the city of Angels, County of Calaveras, made by the Department of Finance, is less than thirty-five thousand. (Ord. 284 §2, 1986)

2.04.030 Designated.

Each member of the council of the city of Angels, California, shall receive, as salary, the sum of three hundred dollars per month as authorized by Government Code Section 36516 which shall be payable from and after the operative date of the ordinance codified in this section at the same time and in the same manner as the salaries are paid to other officers and employees of the city of Angels. 2.04.040 Reimbursement.

The salaries prescribed herein are and shall be exclusive of any amounts payable to each member of the council as reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred by him in the performance of official duties for the city of Angels. (Ord. 284 §4, 1986)
