2.36.010 Created—Membership.
There is created a city planning commission for the town, under and pursuant to Sections 65100 and following of the California Government Code, consisting of five members, each a resident of the town, appointed by and serving at the pleasure of the city council, each for a term of four years. 2.36.020 Term of office.
The term of office of each planning commissioner shall be four years. No person shall be appointed to the office of planning commission for more than two full consecutive terms. (Ord. 468 § 1(B), 1991: Ord. 147 § 2, 1946)
2.36.030 Compensation.
The members of the planning commission shall receive no compensation for their services as such. (Ord. 468 § 1(C), 1991: Ord. 384 Ch. 2(a) § 3, 1980)
2.36.040 Adoption of guidelines.
The planning commission shall adopt guidelines for its transaction of business and shall keep a public record of its transactions and recommendations. (Ord. 468 § 1(D), 1991: Ord. 384 Ch. 2(a) § 4, 1980)
2.36.050 Officers.
The planning commission shall annually select one of its members to act as chairperson, and another to act as chairperson pro tem. The city clerk shall act as secretary to the commission. (Ord. 468 § 1(E), 1991)
2.36.060 Meetings and quorum.
A. The planning commission shall meet monthly at a regularly scheduled time and date set by the commission. The time and date of regular meetings may be changed by the commission. The chairperson may call a special meeting when deemed necessary or appropriate.
B. All meetings of the planning commission shall be held at the town hall, and all special meetings for field trips shall commence at the town hall, unless otherwise ordered by the commission.
C. A quorum shall consist of a majority of the members of the commission. (Ord. 468 § 1(F), 1991)
2.36.070 Duties.
The duties of the planning commission shall be those duties prescribed from time to time by applicable provisions of the California Government Code. (Ord. 468 § 1(G), 1991)
