8.12.010 Unlawful sale for human consumption.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation or agent or employee of any person, firm or corporation, to sell, offer for sale, distribute or have in his or her possession for sale or distribution, any milk or cream for human consumption, as milk or cream, unless it conforms to the requirements of the milk ordinance of San Mateo County and amendments thereto as far as applicable to the town and to the standards of grading and to the requirements for production of milk or cream established by the Agricultural Code of California, and amendments thereto. 8.12.020 Permit for sale required.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to sell, expose or offer for sale, within the town, any milk or cream unless such person, firm or corporation shall have first obtained a permit from the department of public health and welfare of the county, to sell, expose or offer for sale a specified grade or grades of milk or cream. 8.12.030 Grading of cream and milk.
All cream to be sold, offered for sale or distribution as market cream shall be graded as Grade A cream with the name and address of the producer or original bottler on the bottle cap or container. Only Grade A cream or milk shall be used for the purpose of standardizing of Grade A milk. The class or grade of all cream received in bulk by any consumer, user or distributor shall appear plainly on or be attached to the container along with the name and address of the distributor, producer or shipper. 8.12.040 Inspector appointed.
The duly appointed milk and dairy inspector of the county is empowered to perform the functions of milk and dairy inspector within the town for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this chapter. (Ord. 279 § 4, 1968)
