ADOPTION OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS

10.04.010 Authority to adopt.

The city council of the town shall have authority by resolution to adopt such rules and regulations as it finds necessary for the governing of traffic and parking on the various streets and highways within and under the jurisdiction of the town and subject to the authority granted to local legislative bodies as set forth in California Vehicle Code Sections 21100 and following. 10.04.020 Signs and markings to be obeyed.

When authorized signs or other markings are in place, giving notice thereof, no pedestrian or operator of any vehicle shall violate the directives of such markings. (Ord. 419 § 1, 1985)

10.04.030 Enforcement authority.

Regulations adopted under this chapter shall refer to the authority of this chapter and to the authority conferred by the Vehicle Code of the state and shall declare all violations of the rules and regulations set forth in such regulations an infraction under the Vehicle Code.
