3.08.010 Establishment of Certain Funds.

As provided by the Government Code of the State of California, the special funds are established as set forth in this chapter. (Ord. 104 C.S. § 1, 1964; Code 1975 § 140.0).

3.08.020 Special Gas Tax Fund.

To comply with the provisions of the Streets and Highways Code, with particular reference to the amendments made thereto by Chapter 642, Statutes of 1935, there shall be retained in the City Treasury a special fund to be known as the “Special Gas Tax Fund.” All moneys received by the City from the State of California under the provisions of the Streets and Highways Code for the acquisition of real property or interests therein or the construction, maintenance, or improvement of streets or highways other than State highways shall be paid into the fund. All moneys in the fund shall be expended exclusively for the purposes authorized by the subject to all the provisions of the Streets and Highways Code. 3.08.030 Benefit Liability Fund.

There shall be retained in the City treasury a special fund known as the “Benefit Liability Fund”, as provided for in the Government Code of the State of California. (Ord. 94-8 § 1, 1994; 104 C.S. § 1, 1964; Code 1975 § 140.3).

3.08.040 Other Special Funds.

There shall be other special funds in the City treasury as may be required by the Government Code of the State of California or as established by the City Council by resolution. (Ord. 104 C.S. § 1, 1964; Code 1975 § 140.4).

3.08.050 Workers’ Compensation Reserve Fund.

There shall be maintained by the City a fund known as the “Workers’ Compensation Reserve Fund” which fund shall be maintained at a minimum level of $250,000. The fund shall not be used without prior approval by the City Council. (Ord. 94-8 § 1, 1994; Ord. 79-1 § 1, 1979; Code 1975 § 140.5).
