HUMAN HABITATION OF VEHICLES AND CAMPERS

9.34.010 Definitions.

For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions will apply:

A. “Camping” means sleeping, setting up housekeeping, cooking.

B. “Human habitation” means the use of a vehicle for two or more consecutive hours for eating, resting, recreating or sleeping. (Ord. 515-96, 1996; Ord. 502-96 (part), 1996)

9.34.020 Use of vehicles for human habitation prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person or persons to use a vehicle for human habitation on or in any public street, alley way or parking area, or any privately owned off-street parking area that is held open for the common public use of retail customers. (Ord. 515-96, 1996; Ord. 502-96 (part), 1996)

9.34.030 Camping on public property.

It is unlawful for any person to camp in any public park, or any public street or on any other public property, except in a designated public campground or by authority of a written permit issued by the city. (Ord. 515-96, 1996; Ord. 502-96 (part), 1996)

9.34.040 Camping on private property.

It is unlawful for any person to camp on any private property without first complying with the provisions of Section 15.28.210 of this code. (Ord. 515-96, 1996; Ord. 502-96 (part), 1996)
