4C-1 Purpose/statutory authority.

The purpose of this chapter is to authorize, pursuant to California Government Code Section 26202, the county collector’s destruction of those files under her custody and control which relate to cases in which the county collector’s office attempted to collect money due the county of Colusa. 4C-2 Destruction of county collector files authorized.

The county collector is granted the authority to destroy any record, paper or document contained in her files which pertains to any file or case that has been paid in full or considered closed by the county collector’s office for at least the past three consecutive years. (Ord. No. 478, (part).)
