There is hereby established the Planning Commission. (Ord. 1794)
A. The Planning Commission shall consist of five members appointed by the City Council.
B. At least one of the five members should have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of historic preservation and the cultural resources of the City. This member will also serve on the Historic Resource Commission.
C. The members of the Planning Commission shall serve staggered, three-year terms. (Ord. 1914)
A. The Planning Commission shall hold regular meetings in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, commencing at 3:00 p.m.
B. Three members of the Planning Commission shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.
A. The Planning Commission shall perform such duties as may be specified by ordinance or resolution of the City Council or by the laws of the State of California.
B. Further, the Planning Commission shall study and report to the City Council upon any matter referred to it by the City Council and shall keep the City Council currently advised of all matters pending, and shall furnish any specific information, reports or materials which the City Council may request.
All final determinations of the Planning Commission shall be posted at City Hall and shall become final 11 days thereafter unless a timely appeal is filed to the City Council in accordance with the provisions of this code.
