20.84.010 Purpose.

A. It is unlawful for any person to commence, conduct, manage, participate in or sponsor a Christmas tree lot without an operations permit: Christmas tree lot.

B. Any person operating a Christmas tree lot within the City in violation of this chapter or terms of any permit issued pursuant to this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction in accordance with CMC 1.08.050(A). (Ord. 1807)

20.84.020 Definition.

A “Christmas tree lot,” whether on public or private property, shall include any area used for the purpose of storing, dispensing or selling of cut trees or ornamental bushes with or without flameproofing services.

20.84.030 Issuing authority.

The Director of Fire Services is authorized to issue operations permit: Christmas tree lot.

20.84.040 Application.

The application shall be filed no later than 14 days prior to the proposed date of the Christmas tree lot.

20.84.050 Regulations.

There is hereby adopted by reference, by the City for the purpose of prescribing rules and regulations for a Christmas tree lot, the 1991 Uniform Fire Code, Article 4, Permits, in its entirety.
