ABATEMENT OF ILLEGAL DRUG ACTIVITY

40.22.020 Nuisance subject to abatement.
40.22.010 Purpose.
It is the purpose of this chapter to restate the authority of the City to abate buildings or places where illegal drug activity is occurring. (HS § 11570, et seq.) (Ord. 1794; Ord. 1749)
40.22.020 Nuisance subject to abatement.
Every building or place used for the purpose of unlawfully selling, serving, storing, keeping or giving away controlled substances as defined by the laws of the State of California, in every building or place wherein or upon which such acts take place, is a nuisance which shall be enjoined, abated and prevented, whether it is a public or private nuisance.
40.22.030 Authority.
At the direction of the City Council the City Attorney may initiate an action to abate a nuisance as defined herein. (HS § 11570.5)
40.22.040 Procedure.
The procedures to be followed in abating a nuisance as defined herein shall comply with the State law. (HS §§ 11572 – 11578)
