MUNICIPAL TENNIS COURTS

48.24.010 Definitions.
“Tennis court” means a designated area designed and constructed for the purpose of playing the game of tennis.
“City of Coronado tennis court” means a tennis court that is owned, operated, or maintained by the City of Coronado. (Ord. 1968 § 1, 2005)
48.24.020 Access and use.
A. It shall be unlawful for any person to use any City of Coronado tennis court for any sport or activity other than playing or practicing the game of tennis, except as authorized in writing by the Director of Recreation Services or his/her designee.
B. It shall be unlawful to mark, disfigure, injure, alter, tamper with or displace or remove any structure, equipment, facilities or other City property, either real or personal, at City of Coronado tennis courts.
C. It shall be unlawful for any person to use City of Coronado tennis courts between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., except as authorized in writing by the Director of Recreation Services or his/her designee. (Ord. 1968 § 1, 2005)
48.24.030 Penalty for violation.
Any person who violates a provision of this chapter or who fails to comply with any regulation adopted pursuant to this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor except that, notwithstanding such designation, any such violation, in the discretion of the Attorney having prosecutorial functions, may be charged and prosecuted as an infraction.
