LIABILITY OF DOG OWNERS

6.36.010 Damage to property.

A person owning or keeping a dog shall be liable for any damage caused by that dog to public or private property. (Ord. 670 (part), 1984)

6.36.020 Dog bite—Protection of persons and property.

Nothing contained in this chapter is intended to impair the civil remedies available to a person bitten by a dog, nor shall any provision herein be construed as a license exempting the owner or keeper of a dog from taking reasonable and necessary precautions to protect all persons from physical harm or property damage by a dog. (Ord. 670 (part), 1984)

6.36.030 Prohibited conduct.

No owner or possessor of any animal shall cause, allow, suffer or permit such animal to habitually bark or act in such a manner as to continuously disturb the peace of any resident or otherwise be a public nuisance. (Ord. 98-15 § 11, 1998)
