3.34.010    Collection of emergency response costs

3.34.010 COLLECTION OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE COSTS.

A.    The provisions of Cal. Government Code §§ 53150 through 53158 are hereby incorporated by reference herein as if fully set forth, excepting as amended as hereinafter provided.

B.    As used in this chapter, expense of an emergency response means reasonable costs incurred by a public agency and reasonably making an appropriate emergency response to the incident whether or not the incident results in an accident, which will only include those costs directly arising because of the response to the particular incident. Reasonable costs shall include the costs of providing police, firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services at the scene of the incident as well as the salaries of the personnel responding to the incident.
