ROAD CLOSURES

10.50.010 Redondo Beach Road and portion of Poplar Street.

It is unlawful for any motor vehicle to use Redondo Beach Road, or Poplar Street west of Railroad Avenue between the hours of six p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) and seven a.m. PST or eight p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) and six a.m. PDT each day, as provided herein, except for vehicles using said roads for access to residences.  Signs shall be posted to warn drivers of the violation.  A barrier shall be erected barring vehicle access to the beach and bluff top area from each road between the hours cited hereinbefore.  It shall be an infraction for any vehicle to stop or park beyond said barriers.  (Ord. 3-07 (part), 2007:  Ord. 13-91 §1(part), 1991; Ord. 9-89 §2, 1989).

10.50.020 Wavecrest Road.

It is unlawful for any motor vehicle to use Wavecrest Road from sunset to sunrise each day, as provided herein.  Signs shall be posted to warn drivers of the violation.  A barrier shall be erected barring vehicle access to the beach and bluff top area from the road, from sunset to sunrise.  It is an infraction for any vehicle to stop or park beyond the barriers.  (Ord. 5-85 §2, 1985).

10.50.030 Exceptions.

In addition to allowing access to residents, vehicles may be allowed to use Redondo Beach Road, Poplar Street west of Railroad Avenue, and Wavecrest Road after sunset, solely for purposes of beach access for fishing and for special events where the owner of the vehicle has obtained a valid permit issued by the Half Moon Bay chief of police.  (Ord. 3-07 (part), 2007:  Ord. 13-91 §1(part), 1991; Ord. 7-87 §1, 1987).
