CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES*

9.04.010 Prohibited.
It is unlawful to drink any beer, wine, or other intoxicating beverage on any street, sidewalk, alley or highway in the city. Further, it is unlawful to drink or be in possession of an open container of beer, wine or other intoxicating beverages in that portion of Kerckhoff Park known as Coleman Field, the bleachers of Coleman Field; provided, however, that it is lawful to drink or consume alcoholic beverages in, upon or within public places within the city where alcoholic beverages are lawfully being sold for consumption in and upon such public places. This provision shall not be deemed to make unlawful any act or acts which are prohibited by any law of the state of California. (Ord. 84-09, 1984: Ord. 80-22 §§1, 2, 1980: prior code §7-201).
