9.12.010 Unlawful discharge--Permit required.

It is unlawful for any person to fire or discharge any gun, cannon, rifle, pistol, air gun, toy pistol or firearm of any kind, or make use of any sling within the city limits without first obtaining a written permit therefor from the chief of police, which permit shall specify the date, time and place of the permissible use allowed thereunder; provided, however, that this chapter shall not be construed as to prohibit police officers from discharging their official duties.  (Ord. 133 §1, 1962:  Ord. 41 §1, 1949).

9.12.020 Violation--Penalty.

Any person violating any provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than fifty dollars, or imprisoned in the County Jail not more than fifty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.  (Ord. 41 §2, 1949).
