15.06.010 Uniform Code adopted.

The building standards and rules and regulations adopted by the state of California department of housing and community development which impose substantially the same requirements as are contained in the most recent edition of the Uniform Housing Code of the International Conference of Building Officials, and the Uniform Dangerous Building Code, each as amended from time to time, are hereby adopted by the city, except for such variations on the definition of "substandard building" as required by applicable law.  Copies of the governing edition of the Uniform Housing Code and the Uniform Dangerous Building Code shall be kept by the city clerk and made available for public inspection upon request during regular business hours.

Any person applying for a permit for a building, remodeling, development, or demolition permit or for a plan check in connection with compliance with the uniform code adopted by this section shall pay to the city a fee calculated to pay the reasonable cost of the service, inspection, regulation or review provided.  The fees for each permit as of the effective date of this ordinance shall be as set forth in Exhibit A adopted as part of Section 15.04.030 of this code.  The fees established on Exhibit A may be revised by resolution of the city council after such notice and hearing as may be required by applicable law.

Appeals arising from the application of the uniform codes adopted pursuant to this section shall be conducted according to the provisions set forth in Section 15.04.270 of the Kerman Municipal Code.  (Ord. 02-05 §6, 2002:  Ord. 80-6 §1, 1980:  prior code §12-8.100).

15.06.150 Limited application of chapter.

Permits issued prior to January 1, 2008, shall continue to be governed by the provisions of this chapter, but this chapter shall have no application to permits issued after January 1, 2008.  (Ord. 07-08 §3, 2007).
