In accordance with Section 10228 of the Elections Code of the State of California, as such section may be amended from time to time, it is hereby determined that the cost of processing a candidate’s nomination papers is $25.00. The filing fee for each candidate’s nomination papers is hereby set at $25.00 for each set of nomination papers for a City office to be elected at a municipal election in the City. 2.32.020 Payment prerequisite to filing.
The City Clerk, before filing any nomination papers for City office, shall receive the sum of $25.00 and shall not accept said nomination papers for filing unless he receives said payment of $25.00. [Ord. 523 § 2, 1973].
