6.04.010 County Code provisions adopted by reference.

(A) Except as provided in this chapter, the animal control ordinance of the County of Los Angeles, as set forth in Title 10, Divisions 1 through 3, of the Los Angeles County Code, as amended and in effect on May 8, 2002, is adopted by reference and shall be cited as the “Palmdale animal control ordinance.”

(B) At least one copy of the County animal control ordinance shall be maintained on file in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. (Ord. 1197 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1008 § 1, 1993; Ord. 990 § 1, 1992; Ord. 905 § 1, 1991; Ord. 816 § 1, 1989)

6.04.020 Definitions.

Whenever any of the following names or terms is used in the County animal control ordinance, each such name or term shall be deemed or construed to have the meaning ascribed to it in this section as follows:

(A) “Board of Supervisors” means the City Council, except with regard to Section 10.37.070(B).

(B) “County” or “County of Los Angeles,” or “unincorporated territory of Los Angeles County” means the City of Palmdale. (Ord. 905 § 1, 1991; Ord. 816 § 1, 1989)

6.04.040 Section 10.04.060 deleted – Violation – Penalty.

6.04.050 Violation – Penalty.

(A) Except as provided in subsection (B) of this section, any person violating any of the provisions of the animal control ordinance is guilty of an infraction, which is punishable as provided for in Chapter 1.12 PMC.

(B) Any person violating any of the following sections, or violating any of the chapters or provisions referenced in the following sections, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, which is punishable as provided for in Chapter 1.12 PMC:

Any provision of Division 2, except Chapter 10.84;

Section 10.12.190;

Section 10.12.200;

Section 10.12.210;

Section 10.20.280;

Section 10.20.310;

Section 10.28.060;

Section 10.28.100;

Section 10.32.020;

6.04.060 Section 10.20.040 deleted – Kennel dogs and cats – License required when.

Section 10.20.040 of the County animal control ordinance is deleted. (Ord. 1008 § 2, 1993)

6.04.070 Section 10.90.010 amended – Fee schedule.

Section 10.90.010 of the County animal control ordinance is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:

10.90.010 Fee schedule.

A. The fees required to be paid for all services and activities set forth in Title 10 shall be established by resolution of the City Council.

B. The Director may waive any fees in cases of undue hardship.
