1.20.010 Change of date.

Pursuant to Section 2601(b) of the California Elections Code and commencing on March 4, 1997, the date of the general municipal election of the city is moved from the second Tuesday in April of each even-numbered year to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March of each odd-numbered year. (Ord. 577 § 1, 1994)

1.20.020 Terms of office – Extended.

Pursuant to Section 2601(c) of the California Elections Code, those terms of office that would have expired in April, 1996, are hereby extended to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March, 1997, and those terms of office that would have expired in April, 1998, are hereby extended to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March, 1999.
