2.04.010 Council Chambers.
That certain room in the extreme southeast portion of the second floor of the city hall designated in Section 1 of Ordinance 180 shall be, and the same is named and designated as, the council chamber of the city council. (Ord. 180 § 3, 1959)
2.04.020 Regular meetings.
The city council shall hold regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, except that no regular meeting will be held in the month of August or the fourth Tuesday of December and the first meeting of January shall be held on the second Wednesday. Meetings shall begin at the hour of seven-thirty p.m. in the council chambers or in such other place within the city limits to which such meeting may be adjourned. If by reason of some emergency, it shall be unsafe to meet in the council chambers, the meeting shall be held for the duration of the emergency in such other place as is designated by the mayor or, if the mayor should fail to act, by three members of the city council. When the day for any regular meeting falls on a legal holiday, the city council may choose to meet on that day as scheduled or meet on another date by formal adjournment. 2.04.030 Study and closed sessions.
City council shall meet at six-thirty p.m. in a conference room at the city hall prior to each meeting. The primary purpose of this meeting shall be to conduct a closed session as provided by law, and/or study session consisting of a review of items scheduled on a regular meeting agenda.
