10.16.010 Authority to install traffic-control devices.
The city traffic engineer shall place and maintain or cause to be placed and maintained such traffic signs, signals, and other traffic-control devices upon streets and highways as required hereunder, and may place and maintain or cause to be placed and maintained such appropriate signs, signals, or other traffic-control devices as may be authorized hereunder or as may be necessary to properly carry out the provisions of this code. 10.16.020 Edge-line striping.
In order to define the section of roadway to be used for vehicular travel, the city traffic engineer shall cause to be placed the appropriate color and type of markings to delineate the right and/or left edges of a roadway at the direction of the city council. (Ord. 701 § 2 (Exh. 1), 2012)
10.16.030 Unauthorized painting of curbs.
No person, unless authorized by this city, shall paint any street or curb surface; provided, however, that this section shall not apply to the painting of numbers on a curb surface by any person who has complied with the provisions of any resolution or ordinance of this city pertaining thereto.
