STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING—TIMES

10.48.010 Ten-minute parking.

A.    When authorized sips, parking meters or curb markings have been determined by the city traffic engineer to be necessary and are in place giving notice thereof, no operator of any vehicle shall stop, stand or park the vehicle between the hours of nine a.m. and six p.m. of any day except Sundays and holidays, for a period of time longer than ten minutes.

B.    Each ten-minute period shall constitute a separate and distinct violation of this section and each such period shall be punishable as a separate and distinct offense. (Ord. 527 § 1, 1991: Ord. 447 § 1, 1987)

10.48.020 Thirty-minute parking.

A.    Green curb marking means no standing or parking for a period of time longer than thirty minutes at any time between nine a.m. and six p.m. on any day except Sundays and holidays.

B.    Each thirty-minute period shall constitute a separate and distinct violation of this section and each such period shall be punishable as a separate and distinct offense.

C.    When authorized signs, parking meters or curb markings have been determined by the city traffic engineer to be necessary and are in place giving notice thereof, no operator of any vehicle shall stop, stand or park the vehicle adjacent to any such legible curb marking or sign or parking meter in violation thereof. 10.48.030 One-hour parking.

A.    When authorized signs, parking meters or curb markings have been determined by the city traffic engineer to be necessary and are in place giving notice thereof, no operator of any vehicle shall stop, stand or park the vehicle between the hours of nine a.m. and six p.m. of any day, except Sundays and holidays, for a period of time longer than one hour.

B.    Each one-hour period shall constitute a separate and distinct violation of this section and each such period shall be punishable as a separate and distinct offense. (Ord. 447 § 3, 1987)

10.48.040 Two-hour parking.

A.    When authorized signs, parking meters or curb markings have been determined by the city traffic engineer to be necessary and are in place giving notice thereof, no operator of any vehicle shall stop, stand or park the vehicle between the hours or nine a.m. and six p.m. of any day, except Sundays and holidays, for a period of time longer than two hours.

B.    Each two-hour period shall constitute a separate and distinct violation of this section and each such period shall be punishable as a separate and distinct offense. (Ord. 447 § 4, 1987)

10.48.050 Parking between two and four a.m..

No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on any street for a period of time longer than thirty minutes between the hours of two a.m. and four a.m. of any day; provided, that this section shall not apply to a vehicle of any regularly licensed physician when actually engaged in making professional calls. 10.48.060 Five-hour commercial vehicle parking.

No person shall park any commercial vehicle more than five hours on any street in the city except:

A.    While loading or unloading and time in addition to such five-hour period is necessary to complete such work; or

B.    When such vehicle is parked in connection with, and in aid of, the performance of a service to or on a property in the block in which the vehicle is parked and time in addition to such five-hour period is reasonably necessary to complete such service; or

C.    When granted specific permission to do so by the chief of police. (Ord. 394 § 1,1984)
