WATER DEPARTMENT¹

2.20.010 Created — Jurisdiction.

A water department of the city is created and established and shall have jurisdiction, supervision and control of the water system and of the construction of all improvements, additions and extensions thereto hereafter constructed or acquired and shall operate and maintain the water system and all of the improvements, additions and extensions thereto. 2.20.020 Composition generally.

Subject to the general control of the council and the limitations of the Charter, the water department shall consist of a manager of the water department, a superintendent and such other employees as are determined to be necessary. (Ord. 544 NCS §12: prior code §27.3.)
