LABOR DISPUTE DEMONSTRATIONS—PROHIBITED ITEMS

8.24.010 Items prohibited at labor dispute demonstrations.

No person shall carry or possess while participating in any demonstration, rally, picket line or public assembly related to a labor dispute, any length of lumber, wood or lath unless that object is one-fourth inch or less in thickness and two inches or less in width, or if not generally rectangular in shape, such object shall not exceed three-quarters inch in its thickest dimension. All materials attached to any such wood object must be fastened in such manner that the pointed ends of any metal fastener do not remain exposed. Except for aluminum tubing, metal rods and pipes are prohibited from use and shall not be carried by any person during such demonstration, rally, picket line or public assembly. 8.24.020 Violation—Penalty.

A violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be a misdemeanor and punishable as provided by this code. [Ord. 3620 § 9, 1985; Ord. 2264, 1979; prior code § 8.95.020].
