COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION

In the interests of combating the spread of blighted areas, promoting efficient redevelopment efforts and furthering the general welfare of the inhabitants of the communities in which blight exists, the city declares that there is a need for a community development commission under Health and Safety Code 34100 et seq.

1.15.020 Declaration of council as commission.
The city council declares itself to be the community development commission of the city of South Gate.
