MISCELLANEOUS STREET/SIDEWALK REGULATIONS

12.28.010 Prohibited on portion of Main Street.

It is declared to be a nuisance and it is unlawful for any person, as principal, agent, officer, servant or employee, for himself or herself or for another, to erect, use or maintain or cause to be erected, used or maintained, any pole used or designed to be used to carry any wires or cables or other apparatus, equipment or facilities for transmission or distribution of electrical energy or telegraphic or telephone sounds or signals upon the hereinafter mentioned street or portions of the following in the city:

Main Street between Pine Street and Pope Street.

12.28.020 Exceptions to poles used for street lighting and traffic-control purposes.

There is excepted from the operation of this chapter and nothing herein shall be construed to prohibit the erection, maintenance or use of any pole necessary for street lighting or police call or traffic-control purposes. (Prior code § 13.34)

12.28.030 Suspension by resolution.

The city council shall have the power by resolution, upon application in writing, to suspend this chapter from operation and effect for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days at any one time for good cause in cases where compliance with this chapter would work a hardship or cause public inconvenience. (Prior code § 13.35)

12.28.040 City electroliers.

No person may use the city die moldings of the electroliers located on Main Street nor duplicate the design of such electroliers. (Prior code § 13.35.1)
