USE OF DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS BY OTHER ORGANIZATIONS

4.10.010 Facilities available for public use.

District facilities designated to be available for approved public uses include the training room and the community room, both of which are located at the district headquarters, the operations public conference room located at the district operations center, and the water-wise landscape garden located at the previous headquarters location. (Res. 2705 § 1, 2011)

4.10.020 Authorized users.

Agencies and organizations eligible for consideration to use designated district facilities shall be assigned in the following priority, at the discretion of the general manager:

A. Western Municipal Water District.

B. Local governmental agencies, political subdivisions of the state of California, or organizations which provide or promote public water and/or wastewater service and/or issues.

C. Nonprofit organizations with proof of nonprofit status. (Res. 2705 § 2, 2011)

4.10.030 Reasonable rules and regulations.

The general manager may make reasonable rules and regulations for use by eligible agencies and organizations; provided, that no use shall be inconsistent with the use of the facilities for district purpose or shall interfere with, or be disruptive to, the regular conduct of district business. (Res. 2705 § 3, 2011)

4.10.040 Fee assessment.

Use of designated district facilities may be subject to a charge related to the direct pass-through of administrative and other expenses. (Res. 2705 § 4, 2011)

4.10.050 Liability or damages to district property.

Any agency or organization wishing to use designated district facilities shall be reasonably responsible, in the opinion of the general manager, to control, limit and/or cover any liability or damages which may arise out of the group function. If any activity results in damage or destruction to district property, the agency or organization involved shall pay an amount necessary to restore damaged property. (Res. 2705 § 5, 2011)

4.10.060 Hold harmless.

Use of designated district facilities by other agencies and organizations shall be subject to an agreement by such agencies and organizations to hold the district harmless for any injury or damage of any kind. (Res. 2705 § 6, 2011)

4.10.070 Revision and revocation.

The privilege of using designated district facilities is subject to revision and is revocable by and in the discretion of the board at any time. (Res. 2705 § 7, 2011)
