2.20.010 Appointment—Duties.

The council shall appoint a tax and license collector from without its members who shall serve at the will and pleasure of the council and shall receive such compensation as may be from time to time fixed by the council. He shall enforce all of the provisions of Title 5 and supervise the collection of all business licenses thereunder. He shall also perform all of the duties of tax collector as provided by Chapter 3.04. (Prior code § 2.29).

2.20.020 Payment of moneys collected—Receipts from treasurer.

Upon receipt of any moneys from any source belonging to the city, the tax and license collector shall pay the same to the city treasurer, as required by law, taking from the treasurer two receipts, the original of which he shall keep and immediately file the duplicate in the office of the city clerk.
