FINANCE MANAGER/PURCHASING AGENT

2.56.010    Position established.

2.56.020    Duties of finance manager/purchasing agent.

2.56.010 Position established.

There is created that position of finance manager/purchasing agent who shall be under the direction and supervision of the director of administrative services. (Ord. 1116 § 4 (part), 1991).

2.56.020 Duties of finance manager/purchasing agent.

The finance manager/purchasing agent shall perform the following duties under the direction and supervision of the director of administrative services:

(1)    Develop, maintain and operate city’s accounting system, overall revenues and expenditures;

(2)    Maintain inventory records;

(3)    Maintain fixed assets records;

(4)    Perform billing and collection duties for business licenses, transient occupancy taxes and all other taxes, licenses, permits and other amounts collected by and due the city;

(5)    Perform controller duties related to the preparation, auditing and disbursement of claims against the city;

(6)    Perform purchasing agent duties in accordance with the city’s purchasing ordinance;

(7)    Perform treasury duties by depositing surplus funds into legally permissible investment accounts;

(8)    Prepare financial reports, including statements of all receipts, disbursements and balances of the city, as may be required; and

(9)    Prepare city’s operating budget under the direction of the city manager and director of administrative services;

(10)    Perform such additional duties and functions as may be hereafter prescribed or required by the city council. (Ord. 1309 § 8 (part), 2007; Ord. 1116 § 4 (part), 1991).
