TURNING MOVEMENTS

10.12.010 U-turns prohibited at certain intersections.

No vehicle shall be turned so as to proceed in the opposite direction at any of the following street intersections in the city:

A.    Intersection of Spring and Main Streets;

B.    Intersection of Hunt Avenue and Main Street;

C.    Intersection of Pine and Main Streets.

10.12.020 Evading compliance with traffic-control devices.

No person shall operate any vehicle on any public or private property in order to avoid or evade compliance with traffic-control devices on the adjacent public street or streets, or for the purpose of executing any turning movement which is prohibited on the adjacent public street. (Prior code § 10.5)

10.12.030 Left turns prohibited onto Main Street.

A.    There shall be no left turns onto Main Street from the following locations:

1.    Mitchell Drive.

B.    The city engineer shall cause to be erected such signs as may be necessary to indicate the above regulations. (Ord. 02-5 § 12 (part): prior code § 10.5.1)

10.12.040 Sign indicating prohibition against turns.

Appropriate signs giving notice of the prohibition of the vehicle turns enumerated in this chapter shall be erected at such street intersections. (Prior code § 10.6)
