13.16.010 Purpose.

This chapter is intended to regulate all water wells within the incorporated limits of the city. (Prior code § 19.1)

13.16.020 Findings.

The city council finds and determines that it is necessary to establish standards for construction, placement, maintenance and destruction of water wells in order to assure that water wells will produce pure, wholesome and potable water and to prevent pollution of potable underground water stratas. (Prior code § 19.2)

13.16.030 Authorization.

The city council is authorized and directed to adopt by resolution regulations for the construction, placement, maintenance and destruction of water wells, to establish permits therefor and a schedule of fees for issuance of permits. (Prior code § 19.3)
