ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL
Sec. 22-1. Purchases or pledges from minors prohibited.
No person maintaining or conducting the business of pawnbroker or secondhand dealer or any agent or employee thereof shall purchase or take any goods, articles or things offered to him by any minor. (Code 1960, § 24-11)

Editor’s note – Ord. No. 3533, § 8, enacted Aug. 11, 1980, repealed §§ 22-2 and 22-3 prohibiting the selling or giving of cigarettes to minors and prohibiting minors from frequenting billiard halls or poolrooms. Said sections were derived from Code 1960, §§ 18-1, 18-3.
Sec. 22-4. Leaving children unattended in vehicles.
No person shall leave unattended in a standing or parked motor vehicle a child under the age of ten (10) years. (Code 1960, § 18-4)

ARTICLE II. CURFEW
Sec. 22-16. Generally.
No minor under the age of sixteen (16) years shall be upon any public place or any private place open to the public between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 5:00 a.m., unless such minor is accompanied by a parent, guardian or other person over the age of twenty-one (21) years of age in charge of such minor or with written parental consent. Editor’s note – Ord. No. 4007, § 1, adopted July 15, 1991, repealed §§ 22-17, 22-18 and 22-21 in their entirety. The aforesaid sections were concerned with minors attending dances, theaters, shows, etc., and the applicability of this article, and derived from the 1960 Code, §§ 18-6, 18-7 and 18-10; Ord. No. 2390; and Ord. No. 3533, adopted August 11, 1980.
Sec. 22-19. Responsibility of proprietors, clerks, ticket takers, etc.
No owner, proprietor, clerk, person in charge, usher, ticket taker or other employee of the owner, proprietor or person in charge of any public dance, dance hall, theater, picture show or other show or exhibition shall admit any minor under the age of sixteen (16) years to any such public dance, dance hall, theater, picture show or other show or exhibition between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 5:00 a.m. of any day unless such minor is accompanied by a parent, guardian or other person in charge of such minor or with written parental consent. Sec. 22-20. Responsibility of parents, guardians, etc.
No parent, guardian or other person in charge of any minor under the age of sixteen (16) years shall allow such minor to be upon or present at any place, theater, show, dance or hall contrary to the provisions of this article. (Code 1960, § 18-9; Ord. No. 3533, § 5, 8-11- 80)

Sec. 22-22. Use of state procedure for violations.
If any minor under the age of sixteen (16) years shall violate any provision of this article, an action or proceeding against such minor shall be taken as is prescribed or provided for by the general laws of the state for proceedings against minors under sixteen (16) years of age charged with a misdemeanor. (Code 1960, § 18-11; Ord. No. 3533, § 7, 8-11-80)
