18.195.010 Penalty for violations.

The violation of any provisions of this title shall be deemed to be a misdemeanor and any person, firm, association, partnership, or corporation convicted thereof shall be punished by a fine not to exceed an amount established by the Governing Body by resolution; and the City of Gardner, Kansas, shall further have the authority to maintain suits or actions in any court of competent jurisdiction for the purpose of enforcing any provisions of this title and to abate nuisances maintained in violation thereof, and in addition to other remedies, institute injunction, mandamus, or other appropriate action or proceeding to prevent such unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, conversion, maintenance, or use, or to correct or abate such violation, or to prevent the occupancy of said building, structure or land. Each day any violation of this title shall continue shall constitute a separate offense. (Ord. 2019 § 1. Code 1990 § 16-1701)
