50-36 First district.

The first electoral district of the city shall comprise all territory bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the southern boundary of the City of Pontiac described as being the intersection of northbound Woodward Ave. (U.S. 24) and Charles Ln. Thence, westerly, northerly and westerly along the southern border of the City of Pontiac to the Southwest corner of the City of Pontiac. Thence, northerly along the west boundary of said city to its intersection with the Clinton River. Thence, easterly along the centerline of Clinton River to its intersection with southbound Telegraph Rd. Thence, southerly along the centerline of the southbound lane of Telegraph Rd. to its intersection with South Telegraph Rd. Thence, easterly along the centerline of South Telegraph Rd. to its intersection with Riverbank Dr. Thence, northerly and easterly along the centerline of Riverbank Dr. to its intersection with Orchard Lake Rd. Thence, northeasterly along the centerline of Orchard Lake Rd. to its intersection with Green St. Thence, northerly along the centerline of Green St. to its intersection with Huron St. (M-59). Thence, easterly along the centerline of Huron St. to its intersection with Henderson St. Thence, northerly along the centerline of Henderson St. to its intersection with Liberty St. Thence, westerly along the centerline of Liberty St. to its intersection with N. The second electoral district of the city shall comprise all territory bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the western boundary of the City of Pontiac described as being the intersection of N. Telegraph Rd. and Grand Trunk Western Railroad. Thence, southwesterly, southerly, westerly, southerly, easterly, and southerly along the west boundary of the City of Pontiac to its intersection with the Clinton River. Thence, easterly along the centerline of Clinton River to its intersection with southbound Telegraph Rd. Thence, southerly along the centerline of the southbound lane of Telegraph Rd. to its intersection with South Telegraph Rd. Thence, easterly along the centerline of South Telegraph Rd. to its intersection with Riverbank Dr. Thence, northerly and easterly along the centerline of Riverbank Dr. to its intersection with Orchard Lake Rd. The third electoral district of the city shall comprise all territory bounded as follows:

Thence, easterly along the centerline of Kennett Rd. to its intersection with Grand Trunk Western Railroad. Thence, northerly and northeasterly along said railroad to its intersection with the extension of Sallee Ln. Thence, southwesterly, southeasterly, and easterly along the centerline of Sallee Ln. to its intersection with Karen Rd. Thence, southerly along the centerline of Karen Rd. to its intersection with W. Columbia Ave. Thence, easterly along the centerline of W. Columbia Ave. to its intersection with Stanley Ave. Thence, southerly along the centerline of Stanley Ave. to its intersection with Strathmore Ave. Thence, easterly along the centerline of Strathmore Ave. to its intersection with Baldwin Ave. Thence, southerly along the centerline of Baldwin Ave. to its intersection with Rutgers Ave. Thence, easterly along the centerline of Rutgers Ave and the extension of said Ave. to its intersection with the western right of way of Grand Trunk Western Railroad. The fourth electoral district of the city shall comprise all territory bounded as follows:

The fifth electoral district of the city shall comprise all territory bounded as follows:

Beginning at the Northeast corner of the City of Pontiac. Thence, southerly along the east boundary of the City of Pontiac to its intersection with Featherstone Rd. Thence, westerly along the centerline of Featherstone Rd. to its intersection with the Grand Trunk Western R.R. Thence, northerly along the centerline of said Railroad to its intersection with University Dr. Thence, southwesterly along the centerline of University Dr. to its intersection with Emerson Ave. Thence, northerly along the centerline of Emerson Ave. to its intersection with Madison Ave. Thence, westerly along the centerline of Madison Ave. to its intersection with Arlene Ave. Thence, northerly along the centerline of Arlene Ave. to its intersection with E. Tennyson Ave. Thence, westerly along the centerline of E. Tennyson Ave. to its intersection with Fuller St. Thence, northerly along the centerline of Fuller St. to its intersection with E. Beginning at point described as being the intersection of University Dr. and Emerson Ave. Thence, northerly along the centerline of Emerson Ave. to its intersection with Madison Ave. Thence, westerly along the centerline of Madison Ave. to its intersection with Arlene Ave. Thence, northerly along the centerline of Arlene Ave. to its intersection with E. Tennyson Ave. Thence, westerly along the centerline of E. Tennyson Ave. to its intersection with Fuller St. Thence, northerly along the centerline of Fuller St. to its intersection with 2nd Ave. Thence, westerly along the centerline of 2nd Ave. to its intersection with Joslyn Ave. Thence, southerly along the centerline of Joslyn Ave. to its intersection with E. Madison Ave. Thence, westerly along a line extended parallel to E Madison Ave. to its intersection with western right of way line of the Grand Trunk Western R.R. The seventh electoral district of the city shall comprise all territory bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point on the eastern boundary of the City of Pontiac, also described as being the intersection of Featherstone Rd, and the East boundary of said city. Thence, westerly along the centerline of Featherstone Rd. to its intersection with the Grand Trunk Western R.R. Thence, northerly along the centerline of said Railroad to its intersection with University Dr. Thence, southwesterly along the centerline of University Dr. to its intersection with Douglas St. Thence, southerly along the centerline of Douglas St. and a line extended and parallel to Douglas Street to its intersection with Huron St. (M-59). Thence, westerly along the centerline of Huron St. (M-59) to its intersection with I-75 Business loop. Thence, southerly along the centerline of I-75 Business loop to its intersection with Auburn Ave. Thence, easterly along the centerline of Auburn Ave. to its intersection with S. Paddock St. Thence, southerly along the centerline of S. Paddock St. to its intersection with Raeburn St. Thence, easterly along the centerline of Raeburn St. to its intersection with S. Jessie St. Thence, southerly along the centerline of S. 50-43 Designation of official boundary map.

A map of the city with the district boundaries described in this article traced thereon shall constitute the official council district boundary map for the city and shall be so certified by the clerk.

50-44 Geographical reference points.

The streets, railways, lakes, rivers, property line monuments, markers and other landmarks used in this article as geographical reference points for designating district boundaries as such reference points exist at the time of the adoption of this article, shall continue to be effective even though such reference points, at some subsequent date, may be renamed, vacated, relocated, removed or have otherwise ceased to exist.
