8.24.010 Permit—Required.

No person shall disinter any dead human body within the county, nor move from place to place within the county any dead human body that has formerly been disinterred, without first obtaining from the board of county commissioners a written permit so to do. (Ord. 6-5-1912 § 1)

8.24.020 Permit—Contents.

A. The board of county commissioners may either issue a written permit for each body to be disinterred or moved as specified in HCC 8.24.010, or may issue a continuous permit to any person which, until revoked, shall authorize the holder to disinter and move dead human bodies as provided in this chapter.

B. All permits shall be issued by order of the board of county commissioners, under the hand of the county clerk, and each permit shall contain the date of issue and any other facts which the county commissioners may deem necessary. (Ord. 6-5-1912 § 2)

8.24.030 Permit—Issuance.

The board of county commissioners shall issue such permits only to persons whom they deem competent and qualified to perform such work in a manner that will protect the health of the community where such disinterment or removal is to be made; and any permit may be revoked by the board upon good cause shown. (Ord. 6-5-1912 § 3)

8.24.040 Violation—Penalty.

Any person, firm or corporation who violates any provisions of this chapter, or fails or neglects to comply with any of its provisions, shall, on conviction thereof, be punishable as provided in Chapter 1.08 HCC. (Ord. 6-5-1912 § 4)
