2.15.010 Municipal judge.

All proceedings or actions before the municipal judge shall be commenced by complaint setting forth the violation of ordinance complained of, with particulars as to the time, place, person or property to enable the defendant to understand distinctly the character of the offense complained of and to answer the complaint. All complaints shall be verified with the oath of the parties making the complaint. The defendant may plead to the complaint or he may answer or deny it. Such plea, answer, or denial may be oral or in writing, and immediately thereafter the cause shall be tried, unless for good cause an adjournment be granted.
