1.16.010 Ordinances codified.

The ordinances of Crook County, as codified and revised in the following titles, namely CCC Titles 1 through 18, are hereby ordained and adopted as the “Crook County Code,” hereinafter referred to as the “county code.” (Ord. 149 § 1, 2004)

1.16.020 Ordinances repealed.

Ordinance 119 Section 1 (1996) and Ordinance 32 Section 1 (1985) and all ordinances not contained in the county code are hereby repealed from and after the effective date of said code, except as hereinafter provided in CCC 1.16.030. (Ord. 149 § 2, 2004)

1.16.030 Ordinances saved from repeal.

The repeal provided for in CCC 1.16.020 shall not affect any offense or act committed or done, or any penalty or forfeiture incurred, or any contract or right established or accruing before the effective date of the county code. (Ord. 149 § 3, 2004)

1.16.040 Severability clause.

Each section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, and clause of the county code, including the codes and ordinances adopted by reference, are hereby declared to be separable and severable. The invalidity of any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence or clause in the county code shall not affect the validity of any other portion of said code, and only the portion declared to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction shall be deleted therefrom. 1.16.050 Code available for public use.

A copy of the county code shall be kept available in the county clerk’s office for public use and inspection at all reasonable times. (Ord. 149 § 5, 2004)

1.16.060 Date of effect.

This chapter is necessary immediately to preserve the public health and safety of the people of Crook County and is therefore effective on the date of signing by the county court [August 4, 2004]. (Ord. 149 § 6, 2004)
